New York State is the proud home of more than 1.6 million Asian Americans, and New York City alone is home to more residents of Asian descent than any other city outside of Asia.

Governor Hochul wants all New Yorkers to feel safe and supported in their communities, and she believes that diversity is our strength. She knows that generations of Asian-Americans helped build our state and country into what it is today, and that contributions of Asian-Americans make our state stronger, more resilient, and more innovative. From standing up against anti-Asian hate to celebrating Asian culture, Governor Hochul is fighting for Asian-American New Yorkers every day.
