Stop Asian Hate

Stop Asian Hate

The number of hate crimes against the Asian American community has gone up 150 percent from 2019 to 2020. Governor Cuomo and all New Yorkers condemn anti-Asian hate, violence and racism.

In New York State we are proud to celebrate each and every group that is part of our New York family. We know diversity is our strength and tolerance, openness and respect are our guiding principles. We will work to support and lift up our Asian American community. The division has to stop, the anger has to stop and the healing has to start.

Virtual Town Hall and Listening Sessions for AAPI Month

In celebration of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, New York State will host a virtual town hall on May 13 and a weeklong series of listening sessions with state agencies to discuss issues impacting the AAPI community.
