Response to Hurricane Ida
Governor Kathy Hochul has secured an Emergency Disaster Declaration and a Major Disaster Declaration from President Biden following the devastation caused by Hurricane Ida and its unprecedented, historic rainfall. The counties covered by the declarations include: Bronx, Dutchess, Kings, Nassau, New York, Orange, Putnam, Queens, Richmond, Rockland, Suffolk, Sullivan, Ulster, and Westchester.

Flooding Resources and Recovery Assistance
Find comprehensive information about NYS Dept. of Financial Services resources, locations where consumers can get in-person assistance, and links to other disaster recovery resources.
Find information on how to apply for SNAP, public assistance and emergency assistance. You can also search for food pantries in your community.
Relief for Undocumented New Yorkers
Funding is also available to provide Hurricane Ida relief to undocumented New Yorkers who do not qualify for FEMA assistance.
