Governor Hochul recognized January as Stalking Awareness Month and January 18 as Stalking Awareness Day of Action in New York State, issuing a proclamation and directing 16 State landmarks to be illuminated tonight in honor of those impacted by stalking and all forms of gender-based violence.

La gobernadora Hochul anunció que Aurora/Cayuga/Union Springs recibirán conjuntamente $10 millones en financiamiento como ganadora de la Región Central de Nueva York de la séptima ronda de la Iniciativa de Revitalización del Centro, así como Canastota y Brewerton/Hastings como la región Central de Nueva York de este año.

Earlier, Governor Hochul announced that Aurora/Cayuga/Union Springs will jointly receive $10 million in funding as the Central New York winner of the seventh round of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative, as well as Canastota and Brewerton/Hastings as this year’s Central New York region NY Forward winners, receiving $4.5 million each.

Governor Hochul announced the six designated Free Fishing Days in New York will take place on: February 17 to 18 (Presidents’ Day Weekend), June 29 to 30, September 28 (National Hunting and Fishing Day) and November 11 (Veterans Day).
