Governor Hochul urged caution ahead of forecasted lake effect snow set to impact portions of Western New York. Winter Weather Advisories have been issued for Sunday night into Monday morning, with three to six inches of snow forecasted for Chautauqua County and three to five inches possible in Niagara and Orleans Counties and localized higher amounts possible.

“After weeks of the Trump administration putting millions of New Yorkers through chaos and confusion, following guidance from USDA, I've directed state agencies to issue full federal SNAP benefits for November."

Governor Hochul announced that the last statewide Free Fishing Day of 2025 will occur Tuesday, Nov. 11, to mark Veterans Day and honor those who defended and protected our nation’s democracy and freedoms.
