Statement from Governor Kathy Hochul on Tonight's MTA Disruptions

I have directed the MTA to do everything possible to mitigate the impact of tonight's service disruptions.

MTA personnel are in the tunnels directing passengers to stations and getting trains in place. NYPD is on the ground supporting these efforts.

We are in talks with ConEd to determine whether the root cause is related to a power disruption earlier in the evening, and to rectify the situation as soon as possible.

We are doing everything in our power to ensure that the trains are fully functioning for the morning commute, and we are working to get morning commuters more information as quickly as possible. Please check mta.info for more information.
