Statement From Governor Kathy Hochul on Passage of CHIPS and Science Act

"The passage of the federal CHIPS and Science Act will create a stronger, brighter economic future for New York. Thanks to Senators Schumer and Gillibrand and members of the New York congressional delegation, this bill will help position the United States as a global leader in producing the chips that power our phones, cars, and computers. With household costs at an all-time high and the steady rise of inflation, the CHIPS and Science Act will boost innovation, create good manufacturing jobs, and make everyday technology more affordable. I look forward to President Biden's signature on this historic legislation.
