Governor Cuomo: "COVID-19 has been an unimaginable tragedy throughout this nation, and as New York State went through what was, at the time, America's worst spike, states around the country showed incredible generosity and kindness towards New Yorkers that we will never forget. We are glad to be able to return the favor wherever it's needed, and I am heartened to see the Kingdom Life Christian Fellowship testing site open for our brothers and sisters in Savannah as they contend with this destructive pandemic."

On Monday, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced that New York State would establish two testing sites in COVID-19 Hotspots in Savannah, Georgia. The site located in Kingdom Life Christian Fellowship is now open and serving the community. Both sites are located in highly-impacted minority communities. The governor made the announcement with Savannah Mayor Van R. Johnson, II.

The Savannah testing sites add to New York State's commitment to helping other cities and states fight COVID-19 across the country. On July 16, Governor Cuomo announced that New York State has established two church testing sites in COVID-19 hotspots in Houston, Texas. On July 13, Governor Cuomo announced New York State will send testing and contract tracing teams to Atlanta, Georgia. On July 10, Governor Cuomo announced New York State would send the COVID-19 medication Remdesivir to Florida as the state struggles with a resurgence of cases.
