25-Minute Display Will Illuminate the Sky Above Long Island's Popular Oceanfront Park
Governor Kathy Hochul today announced the fireworks display at Jones Beach State Park will take place on Independence Day, July 4. The Jovia Financial Credit Union Fireworks Spectacular at Jones Beach will be a 25-minute dazzling display that will feature a variety of colors and sights illuminating the sky at Long Island's popular oceanfront park.
"As New Yorkers begin to plan their outdoor adventures across our beautiful state this summer, the fireworks display at Jones Beach State Park on July 4th is the perfect place to start," Governor Hochul said. "Independence Day fireworks over the beach is a great summer tradition and a wonderful way to celebrate our nation’s birth, and I encourage New Yorkers and tourists alike to join us to see all that our state parks have to offer throughout the summer."
The colorful display, performed by Garden State Fireworks, will take place on Tuesday, July 4 beginning at 9:30 p.m. This year, WALK 97.5 FM and KJOY-98.3 FM will simulcast music during the fireworks presentation. The fireworks are included in the regular price of park admission, which is $10 per vehicle.
New York State Parks Commissioner Erik Kulleseid said, "What better way to celebrate Independence Day and kick off the summer than watching display of fireworks on the beach. I'm grateful for the support of Jovia Financial Credit Union and all of our sponsors for supporting this summer tradition that brings together so many families and friends at Jones Beach State Park."
This year's program, with lead sponsorship by Jovia Financial Credit Union, is also made possible with support from the Natural Heritage Trust, Foundation for Long Island State Parks Inc., Captree Boatman's Association, Newsday, Connoisseur Media Long Island and J & B Restaurant Partners.
Chaka Adams, Vice President of Marketing & Community Relations, Jovia Financial Credit Union, said, “The Jovia Financial Credit Union Fireworks Spectacular at Jones Beach is a symbol of patriotism and a memorialized moment to commemorate America’s independence. As a community leader, Jovia is passionate about bringing people together and we look forward to celebrating the Fourth of July in spectacular fashion.”
David Bevins, COO of Connoisseur Media, said, “What an incredible annual tradition. We truly enjoy celebrating our nation’s birthday with Jovia Financial Credit Union at Jones Beach. Each year, the fireworks show gets better and better! We all feel a tremendous sense of pride airing the soundtrack on WALK 97.5 and KJOY 98.3. We know how much it means to so many people. We hope everyone has a safe and happy Independence Day.”
