10 COVID-19 Deaths in New York State Yesterday
Confirms 875 Additional Coronavirus Cases in New York State - Bringing Statewide Total to 394,954; New Cases in 41 Counties
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today updated New Yorkers on the state's progress during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The number of new cases, percentage of tests that were positive and many other helpful data points are always available at forward.ny.gov.
"As we are seeing in other states, America's COVID-19 crisis is far from over and in New York we continue to closely monitor the data and consult leading global experts on a daily basis to keep New Yorkers safe and be smart about our reopening," Governor Cuomo said. "Yesterday, New York's hospitalizations and rate of positive COVID-19 tests remained at low levels, meaning that our NY SMART approach is working. It is imperative going into this holiday weekend that all New Yorkers remain vigilant and follow state guidance, and local governments must enforce the precautionary measures the state has put in place to keep this virus under control."

- Patients Newly Admitted - 96 (+25)
- Hospital Counties - 29
- Number ICU - 209 (-17)
- Number ICU that are intubated - 129 (-10)
- Total Discharges - 70,698 (+108)
- Deaths - 10
- Total Deaths - 24,877
Of the 69,945 tests conducted in New York State yesterday, 875, or 1.25 percent, were positive. Each region's percentage of positive tests over the last three days is as follows:
