WYSIWYG

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today reminded New Yorkers that the deadline to register to vote in the upcoming June federal primary elections is tomorrow, May 30. Voters are able to register using the state's online MyDMV, an automated system launched last year to register or update voter registration. To date, 113,598 voter registrations have been processed online with 33,165 being first-time voters.

Participation in elections is the cornerstone of our democracy, and with online registration tools like MyDMV the State is making it easier than ever for voters to make their voices heard, Governor Cuomo said. Today I encourage all New Yorkers to fill out and double-check their registration forms to make sure they can cast their ballots in federal primary elections this June.

In order to apply to register to vote online at http://dmv.ny.gov, a person must have a valid New York State driver license or identification card and establish a MyDMV account. MyDMV requires users to create a secure online account that is validated through the verification of personal information, such as date of birth, social security number, address and license document number.
