"I am sickened to learn of yet another anti-Semitic act of violence in Brooklyn this week.

These incidents are increasing across the state, and are part of the cancer of intolerance that has been injected into this nation's body. It must stop.

"I am directing the State Police Hate Crimes Task Force to provide the NYPD with any resources they need to investigate this incident. The individual responsible must be brought to justice.

"This despicable attack on a member of the Jewish community took place in the same 24-hour span as the burning of a Pride flag outside an LGBTQ bar. An attack on one of us is an attack on all. As New Yorkers, we will remain united against all forms of bigotry and continue to make clear that this state has zero tolerance for such repugnant behavior. We will not allow hate to divide us."
