Governor Cuomo Announces Nine New Pop-Up Vaccination Sites at Early Voting Locations

Sites Target Communities Where Vaccination Rate Is Below State Average

All Sites Open for Walk-in Vaccinations on a First Come, First Served Basis

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced nine new pop-up vaccination sites will open at or near early voting locations, focusing on areas where zip code data shows the vaccination rate is lower than the statewide average.  These sites are made possible through partnerships with local governments and medical partners and are aimed to make the vaccine convenient and accessible in those areas most in need.

"We remain laser-focused on making the vaccine accessible in every community, and will go wherever New Yorkers go in order to reach them," Governor Cuomo said. "We know some areas are still lagging in getting people vaccinated, and these new pop-up sites at early voting locations will allow New Yorkers to perform two civic duties at once - casting their ballot and rolling up their sleeve."

Today's announcement builds on New York's commitment to bring the vaccine to communities across the state through pop-up vaccination sites. Since January 15, more than 250 community-based pop-up sites have administered more than 90,000 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The COVID-19 Vaccine Tracker Dashboard is available to update New Yorkers on the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine. The New York State Department of Health requires vaccinating facilities to report all COVID-19 vaccine administration data within 24 hours; the vaccine administration data on the dashboard is updated daily to reflect the most up-to-date metrics in the state's vaccination effort.

New Yorkers who suspect fraud in the vaccine distribution process can now call 833-VAX-SCAM (833-829-7226) toll-free or email the state Department of Health at [email protected]. Hotline staff will route complaints to the appropriate investigative agencies to ensure New Yorkers are not being taken advantage of as the State works to vaccinate the entire eligible population.
