TOP Governor Cuomo Announces Hundreds of Hudson...

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced continued widespread support from federal, state and county legislators as well as other former and current elected officials, community and business leaders for current plans to build a new bridge to replace the Tappan Zee. Hundreds of Hudson Valley leaders gathered earlier this evening at an event supported by the Build the Bridge Now NY coalition. Governor Cuomo addressed the gathering via phone.

"An overwhelming number of elected officials and community leaders throughout New York State, from both sides of the aisles and different political stripes, have spoken loud and clear that the plan to build a bridge to replace the Tappan Zee is right for the state and the entire region," Governor Cuomo said. "New York drivers deserve a new bridge that is safer and provides better services, while supporting commuter bus options. I thank the Build the Bridge Now NY coalition for coming together to help get this critical project off the ground."
