SLA and State Police Task Force Visits 1,495 Establishments; Observes 4 Establishments Not in Compliance
Confirms 790 Additional Coronavirus Cases in New York State - Bringing Statewide Total to 448,052; New Cases in 50 Counties
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced that New York State's COVID-19 infection rate remained below one percent. Yesterday, 0.88 of test results reported to New York State were positive. The number of new cases, percentage of tests that were positive and many other helpful data points are always available at forward.ny.gov.
"Our numbers continue to remain steady and our infection rate is again below one percent, which is great news. We went from the highest infection rate in the nation to one of the lowest, and that's a testament to the hard work of New Yorkers, who came together and flattened the curve," Governor Cuomo said. "As we head into fall and the flu season ahead, it's going to take the work of all us to protect this progress we've gained: We must all keep washing our hands, wearing our masks and remaining socially distant."
Yesterday, the State Liquor Authority and State Police Task Force visited 1,495 establishments in New York City and Long Island and observed 4 establishments that were not in compliance with state requirements. A county breakdown of yesterday's observed violations is below:
