Governor Cuomo announced that Patricia M. Groeber has been appointed First Deputy Superintendent of the New York State Police, which places her second in command of the 4,800 member Division. "First Deputy Superintendent Groeber is a proven leader in the finest traditions of the New York State Police," said Governor Cuomo. "I know she moves into her new position with the experience and dedication that's necessary to serve all New Yorkers. State Police Superintendent D'Amico said, "Patricia Groeber has been committed to protecting the people of New York for nearly 30 years. Her career has taken her to all corners of the state, rising through the ranks to be the first female to hold a number of leadership positions within the New York State Police. Today, we congratulate her latest achievement as she becomes First Deputy Superintendent. Her leadership and dedication to this agency will not only benefit the New York State Police, but also the people of this great state."
