Regional Projects Selected by the REDI Commission

In addition to the county-specific projects, the REDI Regional Dredging Project provides a comprehensive approach to the ongoing dredging needs for harbor navigation channels along the south shore of Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River. These channels are critical to the vitality of recreational and commercial boating, which generate millions of dollars annually in economic activity and support more than 1,000 jobs across the region.

Update, September 27, 2022: The Regional Dredging Project is complete. The State transitioned REDI program management to the counties and provided the information they need to update, expand, and implement an existing Regional Dredging Management Plan to keep the channels operational for years to come. The REDI municipal program continues.
