Governor Hochul updated New Yorkers on the State's response to the monkeypox outbreak.

Governor Hochul announced the latest round of the JYNNEOS vaccine that will be distributed to local health departments.

Governor Kathy Hochul issued an Executive Order declaring a State Disaster Emergency in response to the ongoing monkeypox outbreak.

"I am grateful to President Biden and other Administration officials for their help in securing an additional 110,000 monkeypox vaccine doses."

Governor Hochul announced that the New York State Department of Health has reviewed and approved Quest Diagnostics' recent application for testing to identify Monkeypox in New York State.

Governor Hochul, along with the New York State Department of Health, announced the distribution of the JYNNEOS vaccine in New York, following an additional allocation of 8,822 doses to New York State from the federal government.

“Earlier today, I spoke with Dr. Ashish Jha of the White House as part of our ongoing push to make sure that New York receives its fair share of monkeypox vaccine supply, especially for those New Yorkers in communities with high transmission rates."
