Tentative Schedule
October 9
- Virtual Online Orientation & Training:
- 4:00 pm - 1-hour online orientation which will include introductions to conference content, access to pre-work and discussion of conference expectations and logistics.
November 13
- Travel to conference begins
- 6:30 am - 10:00 am - Those signed up for shared travel will meet at pick up locations as early as 6:30 am to travel to Albany.
- Conference Arrival & Lunch
- 11:15 am - 12:45 pm - Participants arrive at the Conference Center at Empire State Plaza to register, meet other participants and settle in with a provided lunch.
- Conference Kick Off!
- 1 pm - 2:30 pm - Join top New York leaders to explore the challenges and possibilities that exist in our commitment to sustainably, ethically and abundantly produce high quality food and both conserve and maximize our natural resources.
- Issues Break-Outs
- 2:45 - 4:45 pm - Choose two break-out sessions to explore aspects of agriculture, food or natural resources that connect most with your interests and aspirations.
- Career Round Tables
- 5:00 pm - 5:50 pm - Choose 3 conversations with agricultural professionals to learn more about careers and policy issues.
- Leadership Dinner
- 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm - Hotel keys will be distributed at the end of this meal.
- Evening Social
- 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm - Student social at conference hotel before curfew.
November 14
- Breakfast at Conference Hotel
- 8:00 am - 8:50 am - Breakfast with student leaders
- Future Focused Workshop Rotations
- 9:00 am - 11:00 am - Choice of sessions focused on becoming a powerful consumer, citizen and connected professional.
- Lunch and Send Offs
- 11:15 am - 12:15 pm - Lunch and Concluding Messages
- Optional Tours or Transportation Home
- 12:30 pm - Tours Depart. Coordinated travel back to NYC and Buffalo will leave from Tour locations by 3 pm to return to final destinations by 8:30 pm. Travel will include a stop for dinner on own.
