No. 8: Special Election Proclamation for 2012

Whereas, a vacancy exists in the office of Member of the Assembly of the State of New York from the ninety third Assembly District in Westchester County, caused by the resignation of Michael Spano;

 

Whereas, a vacancy exists in the office of Member of the Assembly of the State of New York from the one hundredth Assembly District in Dutchess, Orange, and Ulster Counties, caused by the passing of Thomas J. Kirwan;

 

Whereas, a vacancy exists in the office of Member of the Assembly of the State of New York from the one hundred and third Assembly District in Columbia and Dutchess Counties, caused by the resignation of Marcus Molinaro;

 

Whereas, a vacancy exists in the office of Member of the Assembly of the State of New York from the one hundred forty fifth Assembly District in Erie County, caused by the resignation of Mark J. F. Schroeder;

 

Whereas, a vacancy exists in the office of Member of the Senate of the State of New York from the twenty seventh Senate District in Kings County, caused by the resignation of Carl Kruger;

 

Now, Therefore,, I, Andrew M. Cuomo, Governor of the State of New York, pursuant to Section 42 of the Public Officers Law, do hereby order and proclaim that an election for Members of the New York State Assembly and Senate in the place and for the unexpired terms of Michael Spano, Thomas J. Kirwan, Marcus Molinaro, Mark J. F. Schroeder, and Carl Kruger be held in the said Assembly and Senate Districts on the twentieth day of March, two thousand twelve, such elections to be conducted in the manner prescribed by law for election of Members of the Assembly and Senate of the State of New York, respectively.
