No. 3: Multiple Assembly District Vacancies Proclamation

          WHEREAS, a vacancy exists in the office of Member of the Assembly of the State of New York from the seventy-third Assembly District in New York County, caused by the resignation of Jonathan L. Bing;

 

          WHEREAS, a vacancy exists in the office of Member of the Assembly of the State of New York from the one hundred and sixteenth Assembly District in Oneida County, caused by the resignation of RoAnn M. Destito;

 

          WHEREAS, a vacancy exists in the office of Member of the Assembly of the State of New York from the one hundred and forty-forth Assembly District in Erie County, caused by the resignation of William B. Hoyt, III;

 

          WHEREAS, a vacancy exists in the office of Member of the Assembly of the State of New York from the twenty-seventh Assembly District in Queens County, caused by the resignation of Nettie Mayersohn;

 

          WHEREAS, a vacancy exists in the office of Member of the Assembly of the State of New York from the twenty-third Assembly District in Queens County, caused by the resignation of Audrey I. Pheffer;

 

          WHEREAS, a vacancy exists in the office of Member of the Assembly of the State of New York from the fifty-fourth Assembly District in Kings County, caused by the resignation of Darryl C. Towns;

 

 

          NOW, THEREFORE, I, Andrew M. Cuomo, Governor of the State of New York, pursuant to Section 42 of the Public Officers Law, do hereby order and proclaim that an election for Members of the New York State Assembly in the place and for the unexpired terms of Jonathan L. Bing, RoAnn M. Destito, William B. Hoyt, III, Nettie Mayersohn, Audrey I. Pheffer and Darryl C. Towns, be held in the said Districts in Erie, New York, Oneida, Queens, and Kings Counties on the thirteenth day of September, two thousand eleven, such elections to be conducted in the manner prescribed by law for election of Members of the Assembly of the State of New York.
