Statewide there are approximately 49,600 customers without power and 894 crews are working to restore service. NYSEG has 45 National Grid crews in route to Elmira to assist in the power restoration.
Electric utilities made steady progress last night restoring electric service to approximately 52% of customers affected by the yesterday storms.
