HUD Secretary Donovan to Attend Conference in Albany
Albany, NY (July 15, 2013)
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo will host the "Build Back Better: New York Rising Storm Recovery Conference" on Thursday, July 18 in Albany, New York. The conference will focus on the launch of the Governor's New York Rising Communities program which empowers localities that were severely damaged by Superstorm Sandy, Hurricane Irene, and Tropical Storm Lee to redesign their communities, identify ways to strengthen their resiliency, and contribute to New York's effort to build back better and smarter in the face of future extreme weather events.
The Governor will be joined by HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan as well as local officials and planners from communities affected by the major storms over the past two years.
WHERE: Hart Theatre, Egg Center for Performing Arts
TIME: Media must be in the Hart Theatre by 11:00 AM. Program begins at 11:30 AM.

Satellite Trucks and Live Trucks:
Media outlets wishing to park a live truck or a satellite truck on the Empire State Plaza must register via email to email@example.com by 12:00 PM on Wednesday, July 17. Trucks should enter the Plaza through the Madison Avenue security gate and drivers should be prepared to present a valid driver's license. Trucks will be directed to designated parking areas near the Egg. Satellite trucks and live trucks only are allowed on the Plaza - station vehicles are not allowed on the Plaza and must find alternative parking.
