Governor Andrew M. Cuomo is deploying representatives of the Department of Financial Services (DFS) to locations in Nassau and Suffolk counties Tuesday, April 30, Wednesday, May 1, and Thursday, May 2 to help homeowners and business owners affected by Superstorm Sandy apply for recovery aid that was approved by the federal government last week.
The Departments representatives will be available to meet with residents inside the agency's Mobile Command Center, which will be stationed at these locations:
Tuesday, April 30: Suffolk CountyIslip Town Hall, 655 Main StIslip, New York
Wednesday, May 1: Nassau County85 East Park AvenueLong Beach, New York
Thursday, May 2: Nassau CountyBrach's Five Towns11 Lawrence LaneLawrence, New York
DFS representatives will also be available to assist with insurance-related issues stemming from damage caused by Sandy.
