2013 NYS Initiatives

Beverly Neufeld, Director of the Equal Pay Coalition NYC and past President of the New York Women’s Agenda:
“Governor Cuomo’s leadership on a Women’s Equality Act, including Equal Pay, sends a clear message that tackling inequity and the wage gap is achievable, good for the family pocketbook, and important to the economic success of New York.”

Gena Lovett, President, New York Women’s Agenda:
“What is needed is a vigorous, collective effort to make New York the best place for women. Governor Cuomo’s 10 Point Women’s Equality Act will help make that a reality."

Nadine Schramm, President, Budd Enterprises/Budd Leasing, a premiere New York theatrical trucking company:
“For businesses and New York State to prosper, we must work together to improve the workplace for women. This includes equal pay, access to better jobs and opportunity for advancement."

New York has long served as a model for equality and fairness on several issues including women’s rights. Governor Cuomo, joined by members of the Women’s Equality Coalition, introduced legislation to end discrimination and inequality based on gender and to restore New York as a leader in women’s rights.
