Printer-friendly version

Albany, NY (June 10, 2011)

This week, Governor Cuomo introduced legislation called NYSUNY 2020 that aims to strengthen Stony Brook University while putting the school at the center of Long Island's economic development.

This innovative plan will use public-private partnerships to develop educational opportunities, create thousands of jobs, and help invigorate the business climate in Nassau and Suffolk counties.

Once enacted, NYSUNY 2020 will allow for the development of Stony Brook University and other schools throughout the state.
